NDIS Core Supports Guide

NDIS Daily Living Support — Everything You Need to Know

Daily Living Support is the most commonly funded NDIS budget — and the most misunderstood. These plain-English guides help you understand what's covered, how to spend it correctly, and how to find the right support.

What is NDIS Daily Living Support?

NDIS Daily Living Support — officially called Assistance with Daily Life — is part of your Core Supports budget (Support Category 1). It funds the practical, everyday help that your disability makes harder to do on your own: personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, overnight support, and more.

It's the most commonly funded NDIS budget category and the most flexible — under plan-managed or self-managed funding, you choose your own providers and support workers.
